SPECIAL EDITION

Setting off from John O'Groats to Cape Town, the 'Long Way Down' team required vehicles that would guarantee them as much comfort and support as possible throughout their 15,000 mile adventure.

During the 66 day journey, the team chose two naturally capable Nissan Patrols and drove them over almost non-existent roads, through wild deserts, mud fields and sand storms. Featuring the same qualities that made them winners in the Dakar Rally, the specially modified 4x4s were chosen for their well-proven strength, reliability, power and durable qualities.

In addition to the two Patrols, the support team was provided with a customised South African Nissan Navara required for its extra load-carrying ability, which turned out to be as capable as Nissan's heritage 4x4.

Over 15,000 miles - through the harshest terrain - what better way to test the Patrol and Navara?
